William Hagemann, 15, has been with us this week, getting to know a bit about life at an agency. Today we decided to do a bit of field work so William and I grabbed a camera and went for a walk around town to see what’s going on.

We walked past the music shop downstairs and saw they were holding a Dutch auction later today:

Queues were forming at both entrances:

Round the corner, the record shop that specialises in classical music had this charming sign in the window:

Roughly translated it warns that the bikes of non-customers would be considered as scrap metal and shipped off to Peru or Bolivia. Other things we came across on our travels included some fresh produce being delivered at a local restaurant. Yummy:

Newspaper vendors giving away free copies:

A busy Joe and the Juice outlet. William told me that he and his friends loved Joe and the Juice, especially seeing the smoothies being made in front of them and the freshness of the fruit:

A HUGE ad for FIFA 10. William is buying the game later today but I think he’d already decided to do that so the ad wasn’t a contributing factor:

An eye-catching window display at Diesel that doubled as a recruitment ad:

William liked the display but said he wouldn’t work there anyway. We saw this little note down a sidestreet:

This public information board about new paving designs from Copenhagen city council was in both English and Danish (very helpful for tourists and people like me):

It’s always useful to take the time and pay a bit more attention to the stuff that surrounds us and it was extra useful to get William’s perspective. Next week I’ll post up some more of Williams thoughts about media and advertising. Have a great weekend.

There’s been a kidnapping in the workshop, from right under our very noses!
