Hero Factory, the new buildable action figure playtheme created by Advance and LEGO, will soon be ready to open and we’ve been busy finalising the last details.
The teaser website was launched recently and features a call out to the 1-888-4-HEROFACTORY emergency hotline where kids can hear messages from the heroes, review latest missions and villain updates and record their own unique villain or monster emergencies.
The audio link below is just one of several hundred already submitted by fans:

FIRST WORK FOR LEGOLAND

Our first work for LEGOLAND Billund aired last week, a TVC promoting the attraction’s latest ride – The Temple. The production was a bit of a juggling act, combining live footage and animation as well as various tactical messages but we’re really pleased with the end result.

Alex is working on a project to document some of the work we’ve done for LEGO over the past three decades. He’s been spending many hours deep in our underground archives, only returning for lunch and an occasional cup of coffee.
The effort is going to be worth it because the case story he’s putting together is shaping up to be something of an epic. In the meantime I thought I’d share some old ads and brochure covers that Alex has rediscovered.
There’s a lot down there so I’ll probably spread this over a few posts. Alex has also found some of our first TV spots but they’re on VHS so we’re working on getting them digitized.

TRUCK-DRIVING MEN (AND WOMEN)

Last year, together with our friends at Radius, we won a tough five-way pitch for ITD, the trade association of the road transport sector in Denmark. The association’s most pressing need was to improve the image of its members and so we immediately started work on a campaign to challenge the various misconceptions and negative stereotypes of the general public.
The central creative element of the campaign is a music video TVC that will launch in late Spring. Because we want to show Danes that lorry drivers are regular people doing vital work in keeping Denmark running, everyone in the video will be an actual driver.
Late last year we launched a recruitment site where we informed ITD members what the campaign was about and gave details on how to apply to appear in the final film. The response was overwhelming, with several thousand signing up.
Since then we’ve been on the road, holding casting sessions and generating lots of good PR:

CRYOSHELL UPDATE

We recently shot the video for Cryoshell’s Creeping in my Soul, the title track of their current EP. Inspired by the film The Others, it was a spooky shoot out at an old country house here in Denmark. There’s a couple of shots below, and a few more here.
The band have been making great progress on the album and they’re on schedule for a release at the end of this month. Stay tuned for more updates.
